Minutes of a Special Meeting of the

Town Council of the Town of Ellicott

held at the Administration Building,

215 S. Work Street, Falconer, N.Y. on

April 17, 2002 at 7:00 P.M.

 

Present: Supervisor Tyler, Councilman Lodestro, Councilman Taylor, Town Clerk Erlandson, Highway Superintendent Shellhouse.  Absent: Councilman Geisler, Councilman Miller.

 

Supervisor Tyler opened an Informational Meeting on a proposal to install municipal water service to Orchard Rd. & a section of Southwestern Dr.  Approximately thirty residents representing twenty homes were in attendance.  Engineer Rex Tolman presented estimated costs for the proposed project.  The Council answered a number of questions relating to the proposed project.  Supervisor Tyler took an informal vote to determine the percentage of residents who are in favor if the project.  Seventeen homeowners voted in favor of proceeding with the project.  Three voted no.  The Council decided to pursue the project.

 

Supervisor Tyler opened a Town Council meeting at 7:55 PM.  Town Clerk Erlandson called the roll.

 

RESOLUTION #88-02

Retain Engineer (Orchard Rd. Water Service)

 

Motion by Supervisor Tyler, seconded by Councilman Taylor to retain an engineer in the matter of expanding municipal water service to Orchard Road and the east side of Southwestern Dr. between Baker St. Ext. & Orchard Rd.; and, further, that the cost of preparing the engineering study shall be assessed upon the properties which are to be benefited by water service.

 

Adopted.                             Ayes - 3                               Noes - 0                               Absent - 2

 

Motion by Supervisor Tyler, seconded by Councilman Taylor to adjourn at 8:00 PM.
